MEMBERS OF ABATE OF MICHIGAN, INC. VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME BY TEACHING STUDENTS IN DRIVER EDUCATION CLASSES ON HOW TO BE AWARE OF MOTORCYCLISTS ON THE ROAD.

THE KEY TO PREVENTION IS EDUCATION

Did you know that 40% of all accidents involving cars with motorcycles are caused by the car driver that has less than 6 months driving experience?

Did you know that approximately 70% of all accidents are the fault of the car driver not seeing the motorcycle?

Since 1995, members of ABATE of Michigan, Inc. have taught 23,576 students that were about to be get their first drivers license, how to be aware of motorcycles.

ABATE of Michigan, Inc. is committed to making the general public aware of motorcycles on the roads in Michigan.  One of the ways to achieve a lower accident/fatality rate is to educate the new driver. Driver Education instructors are inviting ABATE Awareness Instructors into their classrooms to teach their students important factors on how to prevent accidents involving motorcycles.

By making the general public aware of motorcycles on the road, accidents and fatalities will be reduced.

STUDENTS ARE ALSO ENCOURAGED TO TAKE A MOTORCYCLE SAFETY CLASS BEFORE RIDING A MOTORCYCLE.
